Information pursuant to art.13 of the Legislative Decree. 196/03
This information describes, pursuant to and for the purposes of the Legislative Decree. n. 196/2003 regarding the protection of personal data (called the “Code”), the methods and purposes of managing the data provided by users of the site.
It is made in accordance with the art. 13 of the Code as well as in consideration of Recommendation no. 2/2001 relating to the minimum requirements for online data collection in the European Union, adopted on 17 May by the EC-Group for the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and is addressed to all those who access the site. Everything provided in this information, unless otherwise indicated, is provided only for the site. The managers and authors of the site are not responsible for the contents of third-party sites directly or indirectly connected, including through links from the site.

Data processed and purposes of processing
Simply consulting the site does not in itself involve the collection or processing of users’ personal data except with regard to navigation data and cookies, for the relevance of which for privacy purposes please refer to the next sections of this document. If among the data provided by the user there are data pertaining to third parties, the user guarantees towards I.C.E. Istituto Chimico Enologico of obtaining their consent for the collection and processing of data.
As for the purposes of the processing, they are identified with the completion of the subscription phase and its subsequent execution, with the sending of messages relating to the registration and its operation and, subject to a specific consent of the user, with the sending promotional and illustrative material of the products/services and, if present, the site’s newsletter.

Treatment methods
In any case, the processing will take place with the aid of tools and procedures suitable to guarantee security and confidentiality in accordance with the law and can be carried out both online and offline. Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.

Consent
Upon registration, the user is invited to read the information provided pursuant to the Code and to confirm consent to the processing of the data provided on that occasion, for the purposes described from time to time. This consent and the provision of data marked as such must be considered mandatory in order to complete registration on the site and use the services connected with registration.

Scope of data dissemination
The personal data provided by users will be processed by I.C.E. Oenological Chemical Institute or by individuals appointed by the company as managers or appointees. They will also be communicated to third parties responsible for providing services connected to the activities of the site and the execution of the contractual obligations undertaken through them, who will ensure that they are archived and processed to allow the execution of the service entrusted to each of them. In particular, the subjects are suppliers of technological and telematic services, logistics service providers, operators of payment systems and services.

Browsing data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the site acquire, during their normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties but which, by its very nature, could allow users to be identified through processing and association with data held by third parties. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the addresses in URI notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user’s IT environment.
This data is not disclosed but is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning; are kept for the times defined by the relevant legal legislation. The data could however be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.

Rights of the interested party
The user has the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of the data and to know its content and origin, to know the purposes and methods of processing, to know – in case of processing with electronic tools – the logic applied to such processing, to verify its accuracy or request its integration or updating, or rectification (art. 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003). Pursuant to the same article, the user has the right to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, as well as to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, their processing. The processing of the user’s personal data will take place in accordance with and will be governed by Italian law (Legislative Decree no. 196/2003). Cookies
Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same sites on the next visit. The cookies of the so-called third parties are, however, set by a website different from the one the user is visiting: on each site there may be elements such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains that reside on servers other than the one of the site visited. – Internet Explorer: select Tools/Internet Options, click Privacy or Confidentiality and choose the desired privacy level using the slider;
– Chrome: select Tools / Settings, click Show advanced settings and, in the Privacy section, click on Content settings;
– Firefox: select Tools / Options and click Privacy;
– Safari: select Settings > Safari > Block cookies and choose “Always allow”, “Allow only from websites I visit”, “Allow only from the current website” or “Always block”.
If the user blocks or deletes a cookie it may be impossible to restore the preferences or customizations set.

Technical session cookies
The use of so-called technical session cookies, which are not stored permanently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed, is strictly limited to the transmission of user session and shopping cart identifiers. They are used to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site, and are used to establish and maintain user identification within the session. Pursuant to article 122 paragraph 1 of the Code in the formulation in force following the entry into force of Legislative Decree 69/2012, these cookies can be used even without the consent of the interested party.
